Nobox makes covers that get reused hundreds of times. Made from rescued material, by people for whom work isn't a given. Better for the world. And no, it doesn't cost more.
Two products. One principle: never single-use again.
Everything we make replaces something that gets thrown away after one use.
Shipping covers
Ship without a box
For organisations with a lot of internal mail: schools, hospitals, libraries.
Laptops, books, files: anything that fits in a flat cover now travels in a Nobox. Lasts 100×, folds flat to letterbox size, and always makes its way back to you.
The UN Sustainable Development Goals are global targets for a fairer, more sustainable future. With Nobox we contribute concretely to these three.
Responsible Consumption and Production
Our covers replace disposable packaging with something that lasts hundreds of uses.
Decent Work and Economic Growth
Every cover is made at Atelier Revive, a social enterprise where people gain work experience.
Climate Action
Less cardboard and plastic means less CO₂. Work it out with our calculator.

Why companies switch
Not sustainable, or social, or affordable. All three at once, or it wouldn't be our story.
Rescued material
Every cover is made from used advertising banners (blackback): material that can't be recycled, but still has years left in it as a cover. No new plastic, no cardboard.
6,000+ kg of material upcycled
Made by people
Our covers are made at Atelier Revive, by people who struggle to find work and learn the trade there.
70+ people gained work experience there
Not more expensive
A cover lasts hundreds of uses. Work out the cost per use, and single-use loses, almost always, almost everywhere.
Every chair its own disposable wrap. Use once, throw away, and tomorrow a new one.
Now
The same chairs, in Nobox covers made from used advertising banners. Usable 250×, made at a social workshop.
That's how it goes at THO, where thousands of disposable covers are gradually making way for Nobox. And THO gets a story that holds up: demonstrably circular and social. Handy, since their clients ask about that more and more.
Back as soon as it's empty
A Nobox cover doesn't end up in the bin. Scan the label, hand it to the courier or drop it in the mailbox, and it starts its next round. That keeps the cover in the loop, not in the trash.
“Six months in, everyone involved is still very enthusiastic. The Nobox works for everyone in this process, and the covers are still in perfect condition.”
Gerjanneke Koeslag · Christelijke Hogeschool Ede
The Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (a university of applied sciences) ships books in them, ordered by staff from the Frits Hardeman bookshop in Ede. Each book used to be wrapped in brown paper; so far this has already saved 1.5 kilos of paper. Over the covers' full lifespan that adds up to around 30 kilos — the equivalent of 255 rolls of gift wrap.

Still using something disposable?
Boxes, wraps, covers, bags: if it gets thrown away after one use, we can probably make something lasting to replace it. Tell us what you use and we'll think along.

How do we calculate this?
A PE disposable cover for a chair weighs about 35 grams (1.5 m2 of 25 micron film). Producing PE film causes 2 to 4 kg CO₂ per kg; we calculate with 2.7. Production of the Nobox cover itself is factored in, spread over 250 uses; the fabric is rescued textile waste and doesn't count. We calculate with our starting price of 15 euros; custom sizes may differ. We calculate conservatively at every step.
